I love realism. I can draw things that have true value to my life and experiences. One of my favorite things to do with realism is to take crappy photographs I have taken and create something better than the reference. In this case, I took this picture of a tree frog in a teacup when I only had my point and shoot camera and the lighting was awful (these little guys only come out at night, ya know) I still love the photo, but the grainy-ness was inexcusable. So, I draw it!
I would very much appreciate any critique you could give me, especially if you have any tips for improving my pencil technique.
*UPDATE* I've done a complete rework of this piece that can be seen here
Materials: Regular sized paper (I'm not sure it worked so well, if anyone has a favorite kind of drawing paper please tell me!) B,HB,2B, 6B pencils Kneaded eraser tissues and smudgamabobs
